East London Comics and Arts Festival

The comic is a timeless phenomenon that isn’t only relevant for a specific target group. Comic lovers can be found in all areas of artistic representation as well as among readers from a range of different backgrounds. This diversity allows for a great deal of graphic artistic freedom, something the exhibition showcases by featuring over 100 artists, mostly from the UK. The comics, illustrations and drawings will be exhibited in two locations in East London and presented in lectures, film screenings, and workshops. The ELCAF x We Transfer Award will also be presented on the last day of the festival. The winner will receive a grant of 3,500 British pounds to realise and publish their submitted work. The entrance fees are divided into two categories: The All Access ticket gives access to the exhibitions and the workshops on offer, while the Pass gives access to the exhibitions and all lectures. The Pass costs five British pounds each for one day and the All Access ticket ten British pounds. The affordable entrance fee to the exhibition and the workshops as well as the lectures underlines the festival’s aim to make it accessible to the general public as well as the younger generation.

Another highlight is the online platform and the sales promotion project, Tendence Impulse, focusing on sustainable and individual campaigns at the point of sale.

Design Tokyo is Japan’s leading design fair for selected design products in which all the products on display are curated by a committee set up especially for this purpose. Already in its ninth edition, this year the event combines products from the following areas: interiors, fashion, textiles, decoration, gifts, and outdoors, amongst others. Visiting the fair will be retailers, manufacturers, furnishers, interior, and product designers. The fair is organised by Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd., which arranges over 200 exhibitions across a wide range of industries every year.

Australian International Furniture Fair

The Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) takes place every year in July in Melbourne bringing manufacturers and buyers from the furniture industry face-to-face with one another. Amongst the products exhibited are bedroom furniture, mattresses, beds, lounge and dining room furniture, outdoor and garden furniture as well as other services related to these areas. Amongst the fair’s highlights is the international series of seminars entitled “Everyday Luxury”, aimed at experts in interior design. During the fair, a series of trend and design tours takes place, aiming to give visitors an overview of the coming year’s new products.
