99U Conference 2014

Inspiration is a prerequisite for extraordinary ideas. But how exactly are creative plans brought to life? This process of development is the focus of interest again at the 99U conference, which was founded in 2009 by Behance, a platform based in New York, to support photographers, graphic designers, illustrators and other creatives involved the fashion industry.
Successful, creative visionaries will be meeting in New York to show how good ideas are taken forward and how they can lead to business start-ups. In addition to the presentations, this two-day conference also offers the possibility to talk to Julie Zhuo, Director at Facebook in the area of product design, Tina Roth Eisenberg, founder of Tattly and CreativeMornings, Robert Brunner, partner at Ammunition, Wendy MacNaughton, Illustrator and Graphic Journalist, Shantanu Starick, Photographer, and Ayse Birsel, Co-founder and Creative Director of the Birsel + Seck product design studio, amongst others. In master classes experts will share their knowledge about executing designs, and in the pre-conference warm-up, there is a series of off-site studio sessions held by creative companies based in New York city - including IDEO, Spotify and MoMA. Alongside a cocktail reception on 1 May and an after party on 2 May, there will be a networking night, organised for the first time, on 30 April.
