The third Anfachen Award calls for entries of photographic, paint-based, graphic or typographic posters on the subject of housing and living. The 25 best posters will be displayed in public spaces in Hamburg before going on tour in other cities throughout Europe.
Submissions for the Anfachen Award can still be made until 15 February 2019. To participate, entrants must have a personal invitation, which can be obtained by registering and sending an email to the organisers. Also in its third year, the competition focuses on burning issues of the day. This time the topic focus is on housing and living from different perspectives; the approach can be subjective as well as political or aesthetic. The award is looking for stimulating and inspiring works. Participants can submit up to three poster designs which will be viewed inHamburg in mid-Marchby an international jury consisting of Kristina Ketola Bore, Lex Drewinski, Roosje Klap, Stefan Marx, Roswitha Quadflieg, Roland Scotti and Klaus Staeck. The winners will be contacted at the beginning of April and shortly afterwards the award-winning posters will adorn the streets of Hamburg for four weeks. They will then tour several other cities in Germany and Europe. In recent years, the Anfachen Award has cooperated with Munich, Potsdam, Madrid, Moscow and Warsaw, among other cities.
