Boisbuchet Workshops 2017
Domaine de Boisbuchet, Lessac
25 June – 23 September 2017
The Cireca Organisation (Centre international de recherche et d’éducation culturelle et agricole) has been setting up interdisciplinary design and architecture workshops at Boisbuchet in the southwest of France for over 25 years. Their slogan for the summer of 2017 is “Grow the Future Now”.
Design, architecture and nature unite participants from all over the world, giving them the unique opportunity of living and working under one roof with famous designers, architects and artists in workshops over seven days. When he purchased the 150-hectare estate of Domaine de Boisbuchet, Alexander von Vegesack, the brains behind Cireca, was able to realise his dream of having a place where design and education could be brought together in a larger sense. Each workshop promises to be unique and guarantees a “learning by doing” experience. Participants gain insights into the work processes and techniques of the workshop leaders and also have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with their creative counterparts. The tutors for the summer workshops in 2017 are amongst others the young Dutch designer Lex Pott, choreographer Jonah Bokaer, and the architect Lina Ghotmeh.
