LA Design Festival
20–23 June 2019
From architecture to interiors, costume, stage, graphic, fashion and industrial design, the ninth LA Design Festival is celebrating the cultural diversity of this Californian city. From 20 to 23 June 2019, Los Angeles will once again become a global focus for design, showcasing representatives on its local design scene as well as exciting projects from the US and around the world.
For three days, exhibitions, events and installations will be staged throughout the city as part of the LA Design Festival. Numerous galleries and shops will open their doors to interested visitors and invite them to workshops, talks and various demonstrations.
The event, from downtown LA to the West Side and everywhere in between, celebrates Los Angeles’s creatives and its diversity, creating a city-wide network linking art, culture and design and providing a lucrative platform for its stakeholders. On the Festival’s website there is an overview of all events and additional suggestions to help you plan your visit.
The ICON, EDGE and RISE awards are an important part of the LA Design Festival. ICON recognises women whose work has an important impact on Los Angeles’s culture and society, while the EDGE Award recognises emerging talent and RISE honours outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate work.
Visits to galleries and studios are free of charge, some talks and workshops require advance registration.
