Lost and Found
– 28 September 2018
The MAD Lab is a multidisciplinary centre for collaborative design with social, societal, and sustainable approaches, and it is part of MAD Brussels, a platform for fashion and design.
The MAD Lab tests the benefits of innovative design in the corporate world and functions as a social network. Its close cooperation with the end consumer and the way it aspires to sustainable production are particularly evident. This latter theme is the focus of the “Lost and Found” exhibition. Through practical examples, those interested in visiting the MAD Lab can experience the way in which the fifteen designers and design studios working there tackle Ecodesign, the social and societal aspects involved, and what exactly this vague term means. The designers offer insights into their creative work processes and also show visitors the premises of this unique laboratory. Former designers of the MAD Lab and selected guests also explain their approach to sustainable design. Amongst those represented are the Atelier Peau and the Studio Plastique.
“Lost and Found” is part of Brussels Design September, during which exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and other design, arts, and crafts events take place throughout the city.
