Until August, 31st designer and design students from all over the world can submit their works and concepts made of “garbage” and/or industrial rests of production. It is not allowed to use materials which are marked with the “green point” (which is a special German collection system for the packing material of consumer goods).The design objects can range in the fields of furniture, textile and accessories. The award is endowed with a prize money of 2.500 €, there is no participation fee. All rights are reserved to the designers. The award ceremony will take place on October the 16th, 2010 at Marta Herford Museum, where the following exhibition will present the winners and further selected works until November the 7th. Further exhibits of selected works will move around the stilwerk Design centres in Berlin, Hamburg and Düsseldorf, as well as other locations in Wien, Dessau and Gent. At the moment selected works of the competiton of last year are presented in the stilwerk Düsseldorf.
