Architect and graphic designer Joost Grootens is known for his decidedly compact infographics. Small wonder then that the first catalog of his work is a no-frills analysis and systematization. “I swear I use no art at all” presents in tables the clients, the location¬s and the links connecting the first 100 books the Dutchman designed. Using symbols and pictograms he designed specially, he then analyzes the results in terms of color, raster grid, size, binding, paper, typography and others. At first sight, the book seems very plain, but contains many a surprise.
