Setting objectives in design
This book is concerned with the design method known as “ViP – Vision in Product Design.” The method advocates a clearly formulated vision as its starting point. Using questions such as “What do I want to produce for tomorrow’s world?” and “What will be needed in the future?”, the designer sketches out a future scenario on which he can build his design process. “ViP” can be used as a tool for any kind of design activity. As well as explaining the design concept, the book contains conversations, actual examples and hints on further reading.
