Lettering techniques

The book “Die Kunst der Beschriftung” (The art of lettering) presents more than 80 lettering methods, showing the processes involved. In researching his book, author Andrew Haslam visited craftspeople and artists in their businesses and studios, looking over their shoulders as they produced or applied lettering styles using traditional or modern techniques, and documented their work. The result features lettering on or in paper, glass, wood and stone as well as typography cast in chocolate, embroidered and knotted letters.
