Once again the Frankfurt Book Fair will make an impact on the entire Rhine-Main region this year. Numerous cultural institutions are dedicating exhibitions, concerts and plays to Norway, this year’s guest of honour. From 14 September, the DAM will highlight the characteristics of Norwegian architecture in the exhibition “Hunting High and Low”. From 11 October, the MAK will show works in design, crafts and architecture in the “House of Norway”. The tender for the design of the Norwegian Pavilion was won by Luis Callejas and Charlotte Hansson of LCLA Architects in collaboration with Manthey Kula. “Norway Tells” is the name of the project that will furnish the interior of the pavilion with forty objects whose shapes are based on the individual seating and reading furniture typical of Norwegian libraries. Inspired by literary motifs, the result is an object garden that creates an abstract literary landscape rather than the Norwegian outdoors.
