100 beste Plakate.
Deadline for submissions: 21 January 2019
Until 21 January 2019 it is possible to register for the competition “100 beste Plakate Deutschland Österreich Schweiz”. Entrants can submit posters created last year in all genres and printing techniques.
This year, once again, designers have the opportunity to submit their posters from 2018 for the competition. Furthermore, clients who have commissioned posters can make nominations for submission to the competition. In order to clarify the objectives and requirements for the posters, the competition has delineated the following categories: “posters as advertising material for business, culture and social purposes, works commissioned for display in semi-public or public spaces”, “posters for self-promotion, as author graphics or as experiments” as well as “student posters, created with guidance from a school”.
The competition has a two-stage selection procedure, consisting of individual online pre-selection by the jury members and a subsequent final jury meeting at the end of February. The international jury for the 2018 competition consists of Anna Haas, Anette Lenz, Astrid Seme, Johanna Siebein and Andrea Tinnes. The best posters from the three countries will be published in a yearbook and showcased in several exhibitions.
Megi Zumstein and Claudio Barandun from Hi in Zürich designed the look of the current competition.
