ECAL Ecole Cantonale d’art de Lausanne
1 – 3 June 2017
The Ecole Cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL) presents a three-day symposium, looking at the interface between design, literature, publishing, and poetry.
The event serves as a platform for authors, curators, graphic designers, historians, typographers, publishers, and other experts who will be considering the parallels between graphic design and literature in presentations and discussion panels. In addition, attention will be paid to historical themes so that both the past and the present will have an equal opportunity for an airing. This symposium in Lausanne is part of ECAL’s programme of the same name that researches the forms and terms of writing in the future. In addition to the auditorium, there are also events at the library and the university’s printing workshop as well as the Gallerie L’ELAC.
