In 1994, the American Academic Marvin Minsky predicted that robots would one day be part of our lives on Earth. FITC is a design and technology events company with offices in Toronto, Amsterdam and Tokyo. It is organising the  “Future World” event in June 2017, dedicated to showcasing the latest research developments in robotics and artificial intelligence. 



 

The one-day event will include seven presentations, a panel discussion and a series of demonstrations. The main focus is on humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles and exoskeletons. “Future World” is also intended to serve as an information and exchange platform enabling collaboration between designers, inventors, researchers, industrialists and visionaries, who focus on research in robotics and artificial intelligence. The event should provide insights into the possibilities of future technologies and how these might have a lasting effect on our future. Among the speakers are Helen Greiner, who works as Serial Robotics Entrepreneur at Cyphy Works and Angelica Lim, Head of Software Engineering at Softbank Robotics. The venue is the OCAD University in Toronto, considered the largest and most diverse university in art, design and media in Canada.

 

A student ticket costs 59 Canadian Dollars. An Early bird-Ticket is available online for 129 Canadian Dollars.
