16 June – 2 July 2017
After a long break, the graphic design show Dere:2017 invites visitors to Regensburg again with an offering of two weeks of lectures, workshops, film screenings, and exhibitions at various venues in the city.
This year, it isn’t just Erik Kessels and Mareike Foecking that visitors can look forward to hearing at Speakers Night on 17 June 2017 in the south of Germany. There are also workshops with illustrator Marco Wagner and the postproduction agency Pinkschwarz on 1 and 2 July – as the programme is linked to this year’s theme of the festival for graphic and communication design: illustration and photography in a digital context. The question of authenticity and credibility is central and suggests that their meaning in the media of illustration and photography has shifted, or even been reversed. After all, in the era of Photoshop, who still believes in the veracity of photographs? And isn’t it true that illustrations can convey reality just as faithfully?
Elke Lindenmaier and Mirko Frank from Pinkschwarz and Jakob Feigl from the picture editorial team of SZ-Magazin will also be speaking on 1 July 2017. The exhibition will be on display in the art and trade association in Regensburg and will also showcase the Project “GIFilter” as well as the most beautiful German books (2016) from the Stiftung Buchkunst.
