3 – 11 March 2018
The annual Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) brings together companies, investors and the general public for nine days to take part in presentations, exhibitions, conferences and various other events concerning design.
It is supported by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology and the federal state capital of Munich, and shines a spotlight on the city and Bavaria as locations for creative industries. This year’s MCBW is divided into two areas: Create Business! and Design Schau! The first is targeted at professionals, and companies of all kinds. The start-up area which comes under this heading aims to link new companies with investors through workshops, coaching sessions and presentations. The Creative Demo Night on 6 March 2018 is billed as a highlight of the event at which forty start-ups will be presenting their products and concepts. The Design Dialog programme, which is also part of the Create Business! area, will be reporting on sustainable trends and products in conferences, symposiums, workshops and other events.
To people interested in design, the Design Schau! offers insights into the industry through exhibitions, previews, events and campaigns in over a hundred locations throughout Munich and Bavaria. The MCBW Forum in the Deutsches Museum constitutes the heart of the entire event. Acting as an information point and a location for critical dialogue, exhibitions will be displayed, products presented and talks and tours will be held there. The big conferences this year once again include Toca Me and the EDCH Conference in the area of graphic design, and Architecture Matters focusing on the future of the city.
