form has been on the market for almost 60 years now. Founded in 1957 by Jupp Ernst, Willem Sandberg, Curt Schweicher and Wilhelm Wagenfeld as “form – Internationale Revue”, the magazine established as one of the world-leading publications dealing with product, industry, and communication design.

form addresses professionals and lovers of all creative disciplines. Accordingly, not only designers, architects, teachers, and students but design interested people of all branches and ages belong to the readership. With news, key topics, and analyses form magazine sets topics, provides orientation and stimulates the design discourse.

The magazine views itself as a forum as a provider for subject-specific content across all media and formats. As well as print and online publications, form’s portfolio includes trade fairs, seminars, lecture events and workshops.

form is published bimonthly in German and English (full text).

The magazine consists of the three parts Filter, Focus, and Files. Filter deals with current tendencies, forms cluster regarding new trends and furthermore reports on research and the design scene in general. An extensive agenda rounds out this part of the magazine. Focus exclusively covers the key topic of each issue of form. Regardless the key topic, Files discusses new publications, material topics, and ongoing exhibitions.
